Is NEET mandatory for studying MBBS abroad?

Yes. NEET qualification is required by the National Medical Commission (NMC) for students who wish to practice in India after completing MBBS abroad. Students without NEET may still secure admission in certain countries, but they will not be eligible for FMGE/NExT, and therefore cannot practice in India.

If the student plans permanent settlement abroad, NEET may not be compulsory depending on the country.
